Loft and Attic Insulation Cork
Up to a quarter of all the heat in a poorly insulated home escapes directly through the roof, which makes attic insulation one of the most straightforward and cost effective ways to make a property in Cork warmer and more affordable to heat.
A properly insulated attic keeps that warmth exactly where it should be, within your living space, and the savings on your heating bills will typically cover the cost of the work many times over throughout the lifespan of the insulation.
When we carry out attic insulation in Cork we begin by assessing the space, clearing it where necessary and checking for any signs of existing damp or ventilation concerns. We then lay a generous depth of mineral wool insulation between the ceiling joists, followed by a second layer across the top of them, to remove cold bridging and achieve the recommended depth. Where the loft is intended for storage or use as a room, we fit rigid insulation boards instead.
We take care throughout to preserve adequate ventilation at the eaves and to insulate the loft hatch along with any pipework or water tanks, so the entire roof space functions as it should.
Alongside our attic insulation services, we also offer options for cavity block walling insulation in Cork, cavity wall extraction and much more.
It is clean, efficient work that tends to make an immediate and noticeable difference to the comfort of your home.
